Fairy tales and art making

The other day I found an old book of the Grimm's brothers with the fairy tales I've been listening to since I was little, only these are the real ones, not the candy coated I'm used to.  Cinderella's step sisters cut their toes and heels to fit in the shoe and there was no fairy Godmother.  And it turns out Goldilocks wasn't a girl but an old lady.  It's been eye opening for me and it has inspired me to start working on my take on those fairy tales.

Here's some pictures of my work in progress. I hope you enjoy viewing the process!

I start with the background and a pencil sketch.

Paint the main figure and dress her up.

Paint the hair and add more details.

Draw the face and add more color and details

And paint more details.

If you want to learn the whole process you can still join me at my self-paced workshop!
