Knitting in my future...

I've always wanted to learn how to knit. It's something that I'd love to do but that for one reason or another I haven't learned. But guess what? My local University is offering courses and of course, I'm in! I can't wait to learn how to knit and make wonderful things, specially scarfs.. I love scarfs and maybe get a little into Yarnbombing? Who knows? Maybe I ended up knitting a whole bus and making my city prettier (like this one):

hi danita! i am new to your blog...your post reminds me of something we do in my town called tree cozies, where others knit or crochet cozies for the trees that line the sidewalks downtown every spring. i dont know how to knit, but i can crochet a bit. yarn is very relaxing :). have fun in your class!

Knitting is wonderful! I only wish I knew how to make more than just a dishrag and simple scarf. But, I treasure that my Ga Ga taught me what I know and that's enough for now. Kudos to you for taking on a new challenge! Can't wait to see what you make.

I decided several years ago to learn to knit and the process is really meditative. And I recently started a sweater (in fact my most recent post is about the ups and downs of making it). I never took a class, just learned from all the free videos at knittinghelp.com which has a ton of helpful info.

Good luck!
