Thank you!!!

I have two reasons to be thankful today. The first one is for you guys, and for your support for my surgery. I feel so lucky for having you.

The second one, it's my birthday. It was a beautiful, peaceful one. And I got the perfect gift at the end: Dancing balloons.

It was weird and beautiful at the same time. We were at the bookstore and we were about to leave but Mr. Danita had to do something and we have to wait a while. When we finally went out lots of balloons were approaching to the street where we went, floating just a few inches from the floor. More and more were coming and they started dancing and the air picked them up one by one and took them away. It reminded me of that scene in American Beauty where the plastic bag is moving, remember that? It was such an lovely thing to watch. A perfect finishing touch for my birthday. Thank you for that gift. It's been one of the best.

Im glad you had a wonderful birthday> LOVE the balloons. What a wonderful guy. It reminds me of when ,my daughter turned 5(almost 21 now) we had just moved to a new house and who could afford furniture. So my husband filled the downstairs room will halogen balloons ... she was thrilled when she woke up and felt like she was in a forest of balloons....
As for the surgery you will feel wonderful after... you go girl...

I keep thinking about your statement regarding willpower and weight because this is something I beat myself up over as well. I look at Gwen Stephanie who admits she has to diet like crazy and is hungry all the time and she works out a whole lot. There are people who have the recourses to have meals delivered and trainers 7 days a week. They have willpower. But most of us have reasonable willpower and are still not exactly thin.

Yesterday I had a thought that really struck home. I was helping with and watching my daughter's dance recital. There was a group of probably 20 students that have been dancing at Excel for the last 6 years and danced in almost all the numbers in the 7pm show. These girls are in high school and dance several days a a week, if not every single day, for several hours a day. They are so talented and fun to watch but the reason I am telling you this? There are 2 or 3 girlish in this group who are quite heavy. How in the world can you dance that much and be overweight? I'm talking 50 pounds or more overweight in a high school girl. My answer is "something is in the food". High fructose corn syrup, over processed grains, all the artificial sweeteners, artificial colors, flavors and preservatives…something is doing it. I'm sure these high schoolers are super busy with dance, school, friends, boys, and whatever else they do so they eat all sorts of convenience foods. I hope you find answers and resolution with your procedure. I am proud that you are talking about it…..
