Can you believe this?

This is what happens when you're sick and let your husband take care of the baby.... I know she will hate me when she's a teenager for letting her be around wearing that...Poor kid, imagine what she will wear in by Sunday If he keeps dressing her... I better get well soon....
I need some loving....

New work

I just finished 2 paintings that I loved. The first one is about me and the second about my daughter. The first one is titled "Unicycle" (A 6"x12" acrylic on canvas). I love what you can do with 2 colors and black. I think she's beautiful, I love her face and her hair but what I love the most is her expression, a little bit worried, but determined to keep going. SOLD! on Etsy (Thank you Akeime).

And I also made this one, "My horse" (A 10"x20" mixed media collage on canvas, for sale on my eBay auctions). My baby is just starting to own things. Now everything she likes is hers and there's no human power that could take it away from her. I think this paintings reflects that feeling exactly. The menacing look, the hard grip and of course, the wings as she always will be my angel.

I'm back!

Did you miss me? I'm back from my trip... that could be so much better if I hadn't gotten sick!... I even got some shots (snif snif) but my sister's party was great and everybody had such a good time! So here I am, at home at last.... with a pile of laundry bigger than me and the living floor ceramic separated from the floor and forming a hill!!! Now we have to remove all the floor because this is causing a domino effect... sigh... Anyway, the good news is that I'm back, my stomach doesn't hurt and I have many ideas for the next season as Halloween is almost over :(

I won't post pictures of the party because I have this "I'm in pain" face that I won't show in any blog... but I'll leave you with my offering for this month at the TDIPT Mercantile (just click on the picture and it'll take you right there :)

Art journal

Time's flying! I can't believe it's been more than a week since my last post! I'm multitasking here. I'm preparing a tutorial in how to pack a large painting (I have the pictures already but I need to write everything). I just finished a BIG commissioned piece (30x40 inches) and couldn't find a box to ship it, so I made my own. I'm also preparing my offerings for this month TDIPT Mercantile (updated on the 15th of each month) and (tadaaa!) PFATT Marketplace!!! I'm joining them as well. I belong to the group on Ebay and just hadn't had the chance to enter, but now it's when! I love all the offerings there. Such a great group of friendly and talented artists!... and in the middle of all that and to refresh my batteries I'm doing some homework that wonderful Suzie Blue has left us for the ones following her art journal videos. (Yes, I'm an artist whose hobby is painting and drawing. No, I don't get tired of it) She says that in an art journal you can put anything you want.
That's what I'm doing... and I'm loving it! Just draw or paint the first thing that comes to your mind, without worrying about composition, colors or anything else!!! This is one of my entries. It's in honor to my phone, that doesn't bother me at all and lets me do all the things I want... sometimes I think I don't even have one...
