I'm sick...
I've been feeling really bad lately, tired and depressed... now I'm sick. I don't want to be sick. I don't do anything... I don't want to do anything and I have a child to take care of who happens to be sick too... and you know how difficult they get when they feel bad.. Any good remedies against the flu that don't involve laying in bed taking tea with lemon? (I have tea and lemon, what I don't have is the opportunity to be laying in bed...)
I need some loving... please send me get well wishes :)

My mom used to make these for us when we were really sick. You're in my prayers.
Please feel better.....It isn't easy being a Mommy when you are sick. I know first hand. Hang in there it will get easier. For now maybe some soothing peppermint tea and a snuggle with one of your pets if you have any....You also need some "me" time when you are feeling better. A night out to your favorite store. Mine happens to be the Bookstore...Peace and Quiet...ahhh...
Many Blessings,
Michelle
Did you ever try Probiotics? that works like magic. You take a good shot of that and next day you feel great!
I wish you were near so I can make you some of my chicken noodle soup... Get well soon.
I am sending you good juju and hope you and your kid get better soon!
Hang in there! XOXO
From the house of 2 sick kids, 1 of which has the flu even though she had TWO flu shots!!! She has a chest x-ray this morning. Oh! And the Mother-in-Law is coming into town today and I have to clean the house and still work today too! Feel better yet? :)
Seriously, here's sending you some virtual chicken soup! Your paintings are amazing, so amazing, you should never get sick at all! :)

I am more the "artsy" type, but having suffered through years of depression and autoimmune disease, I have learned a scientific trick or two.
Depression is actually a symptom of your body's sluggish production of the neurotransmitter, serotonin. It's very common in the winter months, when we are indoors more, and are experiencing shorter days, for our production of serotonin to slow down. We start feeling depressed, achy, and lethargic.
Sunlight stimulates the production of serotonin; when we get enough sunlight, our bodies start producing Vitamin D, which stimulates serotonin production.
Try supplementing with about 4000 IU's of Vitamin D at the onset of next winter, and see if you get depressed again; I predict that you won't. ;-)
To banish the depression you have now, go seek out a professional at a vitamin shop for an antioxidant rich mega-supplement, and get some additional Vitamin D (the independent vitamin and nutritional shops are the best.... owners of such stores are very knowledgeable and usually passionate about supplementation). You will notice your mood improving in a couple of weeks, though it will take some time for your bodies' blood levels to increase.
You can now see how Aprylian was also right about the V-8, too.... it contains LOADS of antioxidants! Get some, and use it to wash down your vitamins! When I'm really depressed, I like mine with vodka.... it usually does the trick. ;-)
Then, put on a hilarious DVD, and laugh your butt off.... you'll feel a LOT better, soon!
I know it's a lot to ask, but try getting some sunshine on your face, too. When it warms up, you can go outdoors with your daughter on an hour walk in the mornings, and you will get enough sunshine to fuel your vitamin D production all day.... you'll be so happy, you won't be able to stand it!
Thank you again for painting my "Love Grows" painting... I enjoy looking at it every day!
