What I do when I don't know what to do

First of all, thanks a lot to all for your support and your kind comments!! You're great! Also for your response to the sale.. thanks thanks thanks!!!

This weekend was crazy. I had different plans but at the end we ended up all sick with the flu and hanging around the house. Besides I had artist block. I know, I know, many people say there's not such thing but I think it happens. I think everybody gets blocked once in a while. Not even the people who works at the offices works at their 100% all the time, right? Well since I couldn't draw a straight line during the weekend I decided to do what I always do when I don't know what to do... cleaning and moving around furniture!!!! And this time it totally paid off. My studio was a M E S S! it was way too cluttered and I felt like everything was going to fall on me. But now... now I actually have space to work and space to keep things organized.. and the best part is that I even have some empty spaces in the shelves so I can put more stuff!!! Isn't it great? Let me show you some pics. I think I haven't show you my studio yet. Here's a sneak peek:

I'll try to take more and better pics to show you later. I'm so happy with the result! So naturally I went to my creative mood and I made some new original pieces:

Now all I have to do is keep it like that... and the same with the weight loss, THAT is going to be the difficult part :P

I'm published in BELLE ARMOIRE !!!!

I'm so excited today!!!!! Yesterday I received my Nov/Dec Issue of Belle Armoire Magazine and guess what?... I'm there!!! My jewelry and little boxes were featured in the Art of Presentation: 4 whole pages with my art on it!!!! Isn't it great?!!!? Even one of my necklaces is in the Table of Contents, right at the beginning for every body to see!! :)

I've been super busy preparing for this making boxes, original ACEOS, more Pretty Girl brooches and new jewelry for the shop. The boxes are super special this time, with many new designs and images on them. Now I'll go to continue jumping with joy all over the house... see you!

I'm fitting into my pre-pregnancy jeans!

It's getting colder outside. Things are changing. Leaves are falling and I'm fitting into my pre- pregnancy jeans!... It is so weird how 17 pounds can make such a big difference in my life.

I was outside this afternoon with my dogs and my daughter and one of the dogs ran outside the park and I followed her... and I could run without gasping for air like a fish out of water!!! And my mood has improved a lot too. I feel more energized in general even though I barely eat and I feel like doing so many things without feeling overwhelmed. And the shoes... oh the shoes!!! Now I can use a lot of the pairs that didn't fit me anymore (yes, feet get fat too)... It's such a relief to be comfortable on your own shoes!

I'm just wondering why I stopped loosing weight... isn't it too early to hit a plateau? Or maybe I'm growing muscle with the exercise and that's why I seem to not be gaining weight?... Well I don't know, but I keep on going.. .following the diet and exercise .. I know it will pay off :)

First visit to the shrink

I had my first appointment with my psychologist today. She will be helping me with my problems with food. I don't know how she plans to do it but I hope it works. It was my first time. I thought she would have a couch and I would lie there and talk and talk... but not. She was sitting in her chair behind a desk and I was in the other side... just like a normal doctor. And she just filled a questionnaire. I think it will be different in the next sessions. It was weird talking to a total stranger about my issues...but also a relief.

Anyway... I'm trying to focus my mind in something else that food, so I've been buying supplies! I love to get new supplies. This is my new toy:


I've been looking for the (almost) perfect easel all my life and I finally found it!!! You see, I work in the most awkward positions... and I'm always using my left hand to hold the painting I'm working on but I get tired, or I slip and I make a mistake. I think the one who invented this paints like me.. so he (or she) would need something that moves around, not just swivels back and forth. This thing can be positioned in several ways... I'm so happy with it! For the ones who have asked... you can get it here.

Oh by the way, for the ones interested I finally added some Halloween Aceo Sets to my shop. For the ones who can't have just one :)

Visit to the pumpking patch!

Did you have a good weekend? We did! We visited for the first time a pumpkin patch!!! It was so exciting! My daughter couldn't pick one she wanted them all and she was as amazed as finding the first as she was at the end. It was really great! We took tons of pics and she got to sit in every big pumpkin she found :P

There were also other activities, like a corn maze in which we got lost (and it was the easy one!)... a huge tube slide. We had the best roasted corn ever!!! (No, I'm not supposed to eat it... yes, it was worth the stomachache!). I think this is the beginning of a family tradition!
