My new obsession...

Embroidery! I can't get enough of it. I love it on clothes, on bags, on home items, brooches and most of all, I love it on art. I've been working on some new collages in which I've incorporated a little bit of embroidery. I just ordered a book to teach myself how to do more stitches but I
think my favorite is the running one. Here are some details. The paintings will be available soon :)

I have always loved embroidery too! I have been having a little fun with it lately too, but I would never have thought to use it that way! Can hardly wait to see the whole piece!

Danita, I love your embroidery. I use to embroider and I loved it. When you embroider on a painting do you paint first and then embroider? It doesn't crack anything? How does that work? Your creativity keeps me so inspired! Thank you for your beautiful work!

I love the embroidery! Isn't it funny how you get hooked on something? My obsessions generally last a few months then they fade. Then off to the next new thing! I can't wait to see the new pieces Danita.

Wonderful! My hubby actually bought me a gift certificate to a local sewing shop so I could learn to embroider, sew, stitch, felting....the works. Alas, now that school is out, I must wait to sign up. can't wait to see your final products!
