First day of school!!!

Today was the first day of school for my girl.... and I feel so weird!! I have these mixed feelings because I'm so happy she is taking a big step towards independence going to school but I'm also sooo sad because she's not my baby anymore :( I think the ones who have been through this can understand how I feel. It's so hard to explain...

Here she is... ready to go!

Outside school...

Ready for mischief!

I'm so proud of you, my girl!!!
(Please someone pass the kleenex!)

In other news, I'm updating my shop with lots of new things, including little boxes with original paintings, jewelry, magnets and more!

Here you go (I'm handing you a tissue :))...

She looks sooo sweet! What a big girl! A big day :) She will have so much fun at school, and think how glad you will be to see her when she gets home! She will have some great stories to tell, and friends to meet, and games to play...
Oh! Best wishes to you and your sweetie! I remember that first day of school for my two when they were that little, and I felt just like you. Now one just moved out for college...and I feel the same. Kleenex for me, too, please!

Oh gosh! Those photos are gorgeous! Hope she has a great first day. My 4 year old daughter starts "big" school this week and I get emotional just at the thought of it. I was talking to my husband a little earlier saying the exact same thing: "Aw, she's not a baby anymore, is she?". Pass me the kleenex when you've finished...:-)

I agree-sending kids to school is an emotional roller coaster :(
I sent mine last week- I miss having them home with me all day.
Oh well, your boxes look so cute!

Oh she looks so cute and so happy too!!

I was a blubbering wreck when my daughter started school last year, she is just about to go back to school after the holidays and i'm going to miss her like crazy!!
My son is 10 and I still miss him when he's not home too *sigh* the joys of being a mother I suppose ;)

Your new boxes are just gorgeous!!

Oh Danita, she looks so cute! I bet she had a whale of a time, but don't worry, she'll always be your baby. My daughter is 17 and just about to start college, but i remember her first day of school like it was yesterday, i was quite traumatised by it, but she was the proper little idependent miss, insisiting that she was quite able to walk to school on her own! (the school was at the end of the road). Enjoy it, it passes by so very quickly.

I know how you feel! one of my nieces just went off to college. She's the one everyone always kidded us that she was REALLY my daughter. I still have the image of her in her little pigtails going off to grade school so bravely. And NOW she's going to COLLEGE! The years really fly by. Enjoy every moment with your little one! She looks adorable!
